After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to close our Broughton Street location. While this chapter is coming to a close, we’re filled with gratitude for the love, support, and encouragement we’ve received from this special city and its lovely visitors.
We’re looking ahead to Dottie’s next chapter and exploring models that better support the evolving needs of the business and our broader goals. Our hope is to continue doing what we love most — feeding and connecting with the community.
We remain deeply committed to Dottie’s future. We look forward to sharing more soon and can’t wait to welcome you back when the time is right.

Welcome to our Kitchen & Market
Braided into the graceful lines of Savannah’s Historic District, Dottie’s Market is a spacious, light-filled cafe where you’ll be greeted by the smell of breads and pastries baking in the oven, coffee brewed to order, hot breakfast plates, and appetizing sandwiches featuring house-cured charcuterie, fall-off-the-bone-meats and fresh-off-the-boat seafood. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, we invite you to duck out of the Broughton Street bustle for a moment of calm at the Chef’s Counter, or a good conversation with an old friend over a filling combination of sandwiches, salads, bowls and desserts.
In the market we’ll keep a tasty assortment of grab-and-go items for a quick lunch break or a leisurely picnic, in addition to our favorite craft beers, natural wines, ready-made cocktails, pickles, preserves and more. And perhaps you’ll discover a unique, handmade gift from one of our local artisans to brighten your journey onward.
Whether you’re stopping by or settling in, at Dottie’s we hope to welcome you with flavorful food and quality wares that celebrate the bounty of the Lowcountry while uplifting our regional growers and makers. We’re here to share our traditions and techniques with you, recipes that have been lovingly passed down through generations of grandmothers who understood the value of real food, made real good.

Dottie
Dottie, our great-grandmother and guiding light, was born in the South, never met a stranger, and could spin a full meal out of whatever she had available lining the pantry shelves. Depending on the season you might catch her picking a crisp apple from the tree in her backyard or pulling a tender, weighty tomato from the vine. If you were lucky you got to sit quietly with her on the porch to take in the morning light and birdsong.
If you were luckier she fed you.
Dottie loved food, and she was happiest sitting around the table with her friends and family over a good meal. Along with her best recipes, she left a legacy of care for her community and a commitment to upward movement, leaving no one behind, and it is in this spirit that we invite you to stay a while, break bread with us, and reflect on your own lineage of loving elders who held a seat at the table just for you.
